My client at Wise Seeds School requested a logo design and brand identity kit that reflected the school's unique approach to learning. The school is a private home school group founded on the belief that children can direct their own learning using their natural curiosity, ingenuity, and their drive to create and explore.
The school's name is a statement on their approach. The wisdom of a seed is that it already knows how to become a tree. My client and I agreed that the logo should have this idea as its focal point.

After the initial sketching was complete, I inked the two strongest designs and asked my client for feedback.
My client shared that they liked the design of the seed with the tree inside it, but they would like the tree to be replaced by a smaller leaf - like a real cotyledon. They liked the text justified left because it was more compact, but they preferred the other typeface.
